This level is designed to give young children a head start on swimming. Great for children to get comfortable in the water and begin to work on basic skills while interacting with instructor and other children in a fun and safe environment. A parent (or adult) must accompany the child in the water.

Swimmers have the choice to bring their own puddle jumpers or life jackets, or to use the facility life jackets.  Arm floaties are not permitted.

Water Exploration - Children learn basics of swimming, bobbing, flutter kicks, front and back float, blowing bubbles, front glide, alternate arms and legs.

Primary Skills - Children will develop on previously learned skills and enhance techniques: flutter kicks, back and front float, blowing bubbles, front and back glide, front and back flip over, simultaneous arms and legs, submerging face.

Children will learn to enhance previously learned skills as well as develop new techniques: rhythmic breathing, treading water, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, butterfly, sidestroke.
